How to Submit an Invoice

When adding an expense, you have the choice to Save or to Save and Submit. If you choose to Save and Submit, the Invoice will be submitted right away from the dashboard. However, if you choose to Save you can follow the instructions below to then submit your Invoice.

Once you have reviewed your saved expenses and are satisfied that they are accurate,
you can then submit them to your funding agency.

Residential expenses can be submitted at any time throughout the month, but they must be submitted by the fifth business day of the month to be processed and reimbursed during the next monthly payment period.

Please Note:

  • Only expenses with the status Saved can be selected for submission.
  • Future-dated expenses can be entered into MyDirectPlan but the expense cannot be selected for submission until the expense date of the provided service equals the current date or later.
To submit your Residential expenses, follow below:
  1. Login to your MyDirectPlan account.

Submitting Expenses for the Previous Fiscal Year:
According to Community Living Toronto, families have until the end of the grace period (the fifth business day of April) to submit their claims for the previous fiscal year. MyDirectPlan will not prevent families from submitting claims after this grace period, but it is up to a family’s Residential Funding Agency to determine if a late claim will be paid.
